The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 35 individuals suspected of internet fraud in Auchi, Edo State. The arrests were made in Vigilante Street, off Sabo Ibenafo Road, and the Back of Yak areas.
This operation followed credible intelligence that linked the suspects to fraudulent internet activities.
During the arrest, EFCC operatives recovered several items, including nine cars, 11 laptop computers, 46 mobile phones, and two smartwatches.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
