ABDULRASAQ ABUBAKAR TOYIN UNIVERSITY (AATU) NAMES PROF. NA’ALLAH AS PRO-CHANCELLOR AND JUSTICE AYO SALAMI AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Abdulrasaq Abubakar Toyin University, AATU, has announced the appointment of Hon. Justice (Dr.) Isa Ayo Salami, OFR, CFR, as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, with Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’Allah as its Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, were made at the maiden meeting of the university’s Board of Trustees, held on Wednesday in Abuja.
The Board of Trustees comprises notable individuals, including Prof. Popoola Ademola Oladapo, Prof. Angela Freemanmiri, Prof. Umaru Alhaji Pate (Kaigamma of Adamawa), and Shehu Ahmed Moyosore Esq.
The University Council, led by Prof. Na’Allah, includes Hajia Halimatu Yusuf, Alhaji Kamaru Ibitoye Yusuf (Kamwire), and Mr. Adam Nuru as external members.
The university’s mission is to create an enabling environment that guarantees excellent teaching and learning, research, digitalization, intelligence gathering, community corporate surgery, and enlightenment to promote human dignity.
While reacting to the appointments, the founder of AATU, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Abubakar Toyin, expressed gratitude to the appointees for accepting their roles.
He noted that the appointments were based on the individuals’ honesty, credibility, and high moral integrity, as well as their dedication to educational development in Nigeria and humanity in general.
Also, Mr. Obafemi Emmanuel Dada has been appointed as the Acting Registrar of the university.
AATU, located at Oke-Ogba, Gamon, Ilorin, Kwara State, is a private not-for-profit institution that aims to promote global citizenship.
