FEDERAL UNIVERSITY WUKARI (FUWUKARI) ANNOUNCES HOSTEL ACCOMODATIONS SCHEDULE FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Federal University Wukari (FUW) has announced that its hostel accommodation portal will officially open on Wednesday, 21st May 2025, exclusively for fresh and final year students.
In a notice issued by the Office of the Vice Chancellor through the Student Affairs Division, the university emphasized that the accommodation for the current session is strictly reserved for new and graduating students. The statement made it clear that there will be no room reservations for staff members.
According to the announcement signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor E.C. Sharndama, students wishing to stay in the hostels are expected to act promptly. Fresh students are to begin the application once the portal opens at 10:00 a.m., while accommodation uploads for final year students will be processed immediately after their results are approved.
The notice also includes a strong warning: students must complete payment within one hour of portal access, as no prior booking will be allowed.
This move is seen as part of the university’s effort to ensure a fair and transparent process in allocating limited accommodation spaces, especially amid growing student enrollment. Students are advised to monitor the university’s official platforms closely to avoid missing the opportunity.
