Pray for Nigeria, Abbas urges Muslims at Eid-el-Kabir

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has urged Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah, to use the occasion of this year’s Sallah celebration to pray for the unity and prosperity of the country.

The Speaker, who is participating in the 2025 Hajj in Saudi Arabia, gave the charge in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Musa Krishi.

The Speaker also implored them to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, which is one of the hallmarks of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

While extending the admonition to all Nigerians, Abbas called for personal and collective sacrifices for the nation towards its development and growth.

“Through prayers, selflessness, dedication, and renewed hope, we shall overcome our challenges as a nation,” the Speaker said.

He further charged Nigerians to see the current socio-economic challenges as a temporary sacrifice towards a prosperous country under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
